Millstone Music and Art Festival in North Carolina
I had so much fun on Sat. I decided in May to participate in our towns' art festival. I have never done this before so I didn't really know what to expect. Four and half weeks ago I saw the ad in the local newspaper and started making things I thought would be of interest to people attending. A couple of weeks after I got started I sent my application in and took some items by to the committee chairperson for approval. All things had to be handmade and not mass produced. They could not be from made from kits. So they accepted my items and I continued making more items. I literally worked day and night.
Well, it was all worth it! It turned out to be a beautiful day and many ways. The weather was great, not too hot and not humid. The crowd was good and all the feed back about my booth was very positive. Made a few contacts for other opportunities and that alone was payback for the cost of my space. Everyone was so welcoming. Being new to the community left me with hesitation in the beginning. I am glad I went for it. All my neighbors and new friends stopped by for support and that made the day complete.
Thank you to all of you that were a part of my day and added to my success!
