Getting ready for a visit...

This is my travel journal for the trip I will be making to Myrtle Beach and Charleston SC when my friend from CA comes to visit in April. I can hardly wait until she gets here. We always have so much fun. Like everything else we do, we again challenged each other while making this book. The funny thing is you have to know, she is in CA and I'm in NC. We are about 3000 miles apart. Okay now you can't believe how similar our books are. I had started mine at the time I asked her if she was going to make one. In the past we would get together and make our projects at the same time. I suggested she should make her book before coming because I have planned so many things while she is here that I didn't think we would have time to crop.

So.....is this weird or what? We ended up using some of the same papers that we both had purchased about 2 years ago in Berkeley. I had forgotten that I had the Graphic 45 Boardwalk stack. I found it in my travel file and thought I could make that work for this book. I also added a few sheets of  Webster's Pages that had some of the same colors. It all came together perfectly.

So as the story goes, Cathy called and she had sent me over some pictures of her book she was making. Now mind you, I hadn't shown her my book at this time. It was uncanny. Her book looked almost the same as mine. Well, they do say "great minds think alike". I like to think this is true so I'll end it right there.........smile.....hey, the "beach guys" were so cute I had to use them twice!

And the last two pages are...

I like to collect recipes from my girlfriends in California. So if one of them has a new one I write it down and add it to the year journal. It's always fun to see what they have been "cooking" up. the other page as you can probably already tell is for extra pictures from the years advents. Never enough room for pictures.
So here is my book for the year. Not yet done of course but it will be fun to fill it. It will be even more fun to go back through it just to remember all the fun and memories. Have fun making your year journal.
