Hi, let me introduce myself.....I am a first time blogger. So I will be learning as I go. So at times I may look silly but silly is okay with me.
To say that I am a scrapbooker is only part of the things that I do. I have been saving things since I was a child. I hold on to EVERYTHING! Ask my husband. My first memory of scrapbooking started when I was in about 4th grade. At that time we had little "autograph books" that we would take to school to have our friends write in them. Mostly girls wrote in them at that time. We would write secrets to each other. I would save lollypop wrappers, show tickets, gum wrappers, pressed flowers, coins and small pictures from the photo booths at the malls, or fair. Just about anything small enough that would fit into my little book would be put in there. I still have that book.
My next recolection of a scrapbook was a book I made when I had returned from Girl Scout Camp. I came home and put the camp picture in it along with photos that myself and some of the other girls took on out little "Brownie cameras". I was 9 years old then. I still have that scrapbook too.
Over the years my style of books have changed. That is only because I was growing and so were my scrapbooks. There were a few more over the years and then the "really important" one was made. That was when I met my husband. We were in 7th grade and we were 11 years old going on 12! That book became many books because we went together all through junior high school and high school and finally married a year and 4 months after high school graduation. We will celebrate our 42cd wedding anniversary in Dec.
So needless to say it has been a life time of scrapbooking for me. Two grown daughters each with 3 children of their own, (6 grandchildren), and numereous vacations, celebrations, and life itself stuffed into hundreds of books, big and small.
So you see, I'm just like you! We all have a story to tell so tell it!
I love that you save little pieces of "life"... your little books are always so much fun to look through because of the details you put into everything. SO happy that you have a blog now, my friend! You've got a lot to share with the world.
